I “work” for a man who spent the first half of his life becoming the richest man in the world. He then spend the last half of his life giving it away. Once he reached his goal of becoming the world’s richest man, Andrew Carnegie gave back in ways that made this a better world. He funded these remarkable institutions:
- Carnegie Endowment for International Peace
- 3,000 public libraries
- Carnegie Institution for Science
- Carnegie Hero Fund
- Carnegie Mellon University
- Carnegie Hall
- Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, among others.
Yet, by far, Andrew Carnegie’s biggest contribution was launching the research that led to the method anyone can use to follow in his footsteps.
